"Striving To Be Better Today Than We Were Yesterday"
Warriors Wing Chun Kung Fu - Why are we so good?
Some people come to our classes after going to other martial art schools or other wing chun schools and notice straight away how much better we are at performing, fighting, learning and teaching. We have a standard to keep and it is based on Sifu Victor Evelyn's own ethos, which is to keep training until you are better than the instructor, then reach for perfection! Sifu has extensive experience in several systems of martial arts, security and close protection and his whole family has been deeply involved in martial arts for decades. When he teaches anything, you can be sure it has been tried and tested and that it works.
As his fighting experience is massive, he understands what combat sports are all about and what a real fight is like and what is required to be ready for one entails, so whether it is sport or self defence you can be sure you are being taught the best techniques for whatever you are interested in.
At the Warriors Wing Chun Kung Fu School you will be continually tested in Mind, Body and Warrior Spirit every time so you become Self Enlightened to your own power and abilities. Your Confidence and Self Esteem will be supreme and it will be backed up by the fact that you have failed, tried again and then eventually succeeded at the tests and by getting through the harsh training. I congratulate you for aspiring to be awesome!

LEVEL 1 --- SIU LIM TAO (BEGINNING)
LEVEL 2 --- CHUM KIU (INTERMEDIATE)
LEVEL 3 --- BIU GEE (ADVANCED)
LEVEL 4 --- MOOK YAN JONG (SENIOR STUDENT)
LEVEL 5 --- LOOK DIM BOON GWAN (A. INST.)
LEVEL 6 --- BAH JAM DO (SIFU / INSTRUCTOR)
LEVEL 7 --- SENIOR INSTRUCTOR (SOLDIER)
LEVEL 8 --- MASTER (WARRIOR)
LEVEL 9 --- GRAND MASTER (GENERAL)
LEVEL10 --- SAGE (TAO OF BEING)
There are many exercises and drills that must be learned before you can continue onto another level.
Each level is an 'Assessment' not a grading. Grading is a method by which instructors can make money from you proving that you understand what you've already paid to learn. Students never know when they will be 'assessed' and they must get over a certain percentage to pass. Only when they have earned 100% can they get their Certificate.
STAGE 1 --- NOVICE
STAGE 2 --- INTERMEDIATE
STAGE 3 --- ADVANCED
STAGE 4 --- ASSISTANT JUNIOR INSTRUCTOR
STAGE 5 --- JUNIOR INSTRUCTOR
Children cannot grade until their parents 'sign-off' on their Childs' progress chart. Child must improve on their first profile to be able to grade and be awarded their Certificate.
THE WU DE'
The martial arts teaches the Wu De (the Warrior Code) a manuscript containing all the morals and ethical values we know of today. Parents took us to these institutions knowing that their child would be taught discipline, honour, respect, humility and righteousness. These days the most un-important part of martial learning these days seems to be the Wu De. The very fact that you do not know what I'm talking about is the exact reason I am correct. Too much these days instructors are settling for making the fast buck without caring anything about what they're supposed to teach.
The young these days have nothing to do and yet love the arts. They see them all the time used in films and on the small screen. They continue to be interested when they walk through the door of your kwoon or dojo. Then after about three or four lessons, they find it boring because they didn't know it would be so difficult and repetitive. So you the instructor, in your peril, decide to teach the most exiting part of your martial art to whomever can pay. You need to pay the rent right? Is this keeping children off the streets so they don't become a burden later on, or is it helping them to become more efficient thugs?
I'd like to think that as a martial arts instructor I have a moral duty to teach the entire system in a constructive and earnest fashion. How cheap will you look if the last person you taught got their Black Belt by taking the fast track and paying up front to get their belt in the post? That school gets no respect from me. What are they learning, pay more and you too can become a master within your lunch break? While learning the martial arts all those buzz words you heard growing up like, Honour, Ethics, Loyalty, Confidence, Ambition, Manners, should be explained and thought about and understood. In the Wu De' all these words and dozens more are explained and if you are a proper martial artist, you would know how to teach this to your students.
We are the last chance. Children and young adults need direction and they need to feel confident to deal with life. You have the power to put things right, With great power comes great responsibility. You can be the motivating factor that changes a young persons mind from doing the wrong thing to doing the right thing. Something the old school instructors were for us.
WWCKFS SEMINAR IN:
HOW TO USE WING CHUN CHIN NA - 22.02.2020
LET'S TALK ABOUT FIGHTING
Human beings use three methods to fight, Wrestling, Striking and Grappling. For your system to be efficient you need to have a method to deal with each facet of fighting so
* If someone grapples with you, then you strike
* If somone attempts to strike, then you wrestle
* If somone attempts to wrestle with you, then you grapple
In the Warriors Wing Chun Kung Fu School System, we use:
Wing Chun - Striking
Chin Na - Grappling
Shuai Jiao - Wrestling/ Throwing
If weapons become available in a situation it would be best to have an understanding of using them so:
Our Weapons system training comprises of:
Traditional Wing Chun Weapons
* Look Dim Boon Gwan - Long Pole
* Bah Jam Do - Eight Chop Swords
* Escrima (Modified) - Stick Fighting
If your martial system does not encompass effective learning in all three concepts then you are not learning a complete system. Chin Na is the Grappling side of the Warriors Wing Chun Kung Fu School system.
Most systems concentrate their ethos on one or two at the deficit of the third. Some instructors of Wing Chun have little or no clue of how to utilise the grappling side of Wing Chun even though this is one of the facets that has made the system famous and feared by all other systems.
Sifu Victor S. Evelyn's knowledge of the martial Arts is extensive and deep. His students have benefitted from his understanding of the seven systems he has studied thus far but especially Chin Na (Grappling), Shuai Jiao (Chinese Wrestling) and Wing Chun (Striking). Even though this system has its grounding in striking, when a certain level is reached the Bui Jee section(Level 3 - Highest Hand Form) sometimes gets neglected and rushed through and in some systems made mystical so it can be taught separately, like some secret part of the system. It is actually when you understand the Physiology of the human body at a very high level enabling you to control energy and the movement on a more sophisticated level. Well it's your chance to find out what you've been missing!
